Omo, e don be! Retired workers for Osun State don gather do proper protest, as dem dey vex well well over wetin dey happen with their pensions. Dem don dey cry for help since local government funds no dey reach dem side, and na so dem dey suffer for this their old age!
For Tuesday wey just pass, dem waka from Olonkoro Area go Old Garage for Osogbo, carrying placards wey get messages wey dey sweet for ear like, “Make President Tinubu no allow this matter turn wahala!” and “Local government money no dey flow, we dey suffer here!” Na serious matter be this o!
State Coordinator, Toyin Ayinde, wey lead the protest, no dey find am easy as e dey talk say, “Abeg, we dey beg President Tinubu make e come intervene for this wahala wey dey happen for Osun local government matter.” E no fit hide the pain as e still talk say, “Our lives dey hang for wire, we dey suffer.”
Dem dey call on Mr. President, wey be like the father of the nation, make e lend hand to the retires wey still dey trek through matter of pension wey suppose don set. Ayinde still point out say all the boku money wey wey dem never pay retiree from primary, secondary, tertiary, and civil service from 2017 to 2026, e no good at all!
But na wetin we go do now? E get as dis local government pattern dey happen since February 2025, due to court wahala wey dey show different paper for who go hold the chair. E be like say the APC people and the PDP people dey hobnob over the jollof and the money, as e be like say na APC chairmen dey control the cash as dem dey settle their legal matter.
No wahala, Ayinde still praise Governor Ademola Adeleke, say him dey try small to make life better for the pensioners, but everybody dey urge for serious action, make nobody die for this poverty matter wey dey suffocate dem!
