Di hospital don yarn through di Public Relations man, Osaretin Iyen, say, ‘No child die because of di measles-rubella vaccine for our hospital.’ Na just plenty noise wey dey come from outside wey dey cause wahala. Dem go want yan say children wey sabi dey catch febrile illness after dem take di vaccine for oda centres, come rush dem reach UBTH go hospital. But no be for UBTH dem die.
Iyen talk say dem kids wey dem bring go UBTH after di vaccine, dey receive proper care, treat, dem stabilize all di children and even send dem back home safe and sound. Na so e be o! Dem get one paddy of eight years wey dey sickle cell, him come dey hospital for different reason, but for di record, e die. But no be di vaccine cause am. E no dey link at all!
Di management don confirm say vaccines go get some small side effects sometimes, but dem clear say dem no get any evidence wey go fit connect di measles-rubella vaccine to di boy death wey dem talk about. E clear as day, my people!
