As voting begin, people dey form long queue for polling stations for capital, Dhaka. Na first time wey dem wan choose leaders after Sheikh Hasina no hold ground again. Dis time, strong man Tarique Rahman wey dey lead Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) dey try take back control, but e get who dey contest am. No be other person but the Islamist party, Jamaat-e Islami, wey get their own plans! Ah, wahala no fit finish for dis political matter oh!

Over 300,000 soldiers and police don show face for the election, as experts dey talk say threats and ‘tsunami of disinformation’ don gather like rain, especially to target young voters wey dey vote for first time. Omo, Shithi Goswami, a student on her first voting experience, dey hope say after everything wey dey happen, maybe we fit see positive change.

Tarique Rahman dey confident say him go fit bring change back for Bangladeshi people, but na the fierce competition from Jamaat e Islami be him big problem. Shafiqur Rahman, the head for Jamaat, don organize grassroots campaign wey dey catch fire. If dem win, na him go lead the first Islamist-led government in secular Bangladesh. Na serious matter!

As voting dey happen, police records don show five people don die and more than 600 don injure from clashes as political campaigns dey hot. Na why dem dey tell us say dis election fit determine future direction of the country and its democracy.

Muhammad Yunus, wey be interim leader for now, don talk say dis election na big deal because e go decide wetin go happen to the next generation. As the day dey go, we go see who go emerge victor!
