Dem don waka come put road plan wey go fit help keep everything smooth as the marathon dey run. Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, don talk say for dis event, dem go block some roads from 12.00 am to 12.30 pm on that Saturday. Na so dem go cover the area wey marathon go pass.
For the main marathon, wey get 42-kilometre and 10-kilometre option, e go start for Ahmadu Bello by MRS Gas Station, dey run through Coastal Road go reach finish line. For the 10-kilometre race, dem go start from Lekki Phase 1, run pass Durosimi Etti, Ozumba Mbadiwe, enter Bishop Oluwole then finish for Sanusi Fafunwa. E sure say dis marathon go tight!
Osiyemi talk say dem go get LASTMA and other security people wey go dey ensure say no vehicle fit enter the blocked roads. In short, dem advise all Lagos drivers make dem calm down and find alternative routes so dem no go jam for traffic. E get as e be when crowd gather!
He still remind us say, “Traffic Management Officials go dey there to help drivers navigate.” We all sabi say dis marathon no fit waka without small wahala, but we fit manage am if we plan our journey well-well. No forget to pack your patience join body too!
As the marathon dey come, dem also get small gist about Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway wey go close for four weeks for repairs. How e go affect traffic? My brother, you fit imagine! From February 11, na wah oh! Drivers must prepare for road dey jam because phase one go focus on Abeokuta-bound traffic, dey share lane with oncoming cars. Na play na!
Phase two go take over after that, as Lagos-bound lane go follow suit. Na so we go dey play this game of chicken till March 11. Abeg, make dem try finish this repair sharp sharp. We no fit afford to dey manage bad roads forever!
