Wetin dey happen for Kano wey people suppose dey shine eyes well well! One young babe, wey dem call Ladidi Muhammad Sani, fall inside well for Gurungawa, Kumbotso Local Government Area. Thank God say Kano State Fire Service quick respond as dem receive distress call around 12:25 a.m. from one guy wey dey near the well, Lawan Aminu.
As the Fire Service team reach the scene, na there dem find Ladidi and praise be to God, dem rescue am live! Na her papa, Abdullahi Sani, dem hand over the babe to, and everybody dey grateful say nothing bad happen to am this time.
But no be the first time wey wahala dey like this for Kano o! Na confirm matter say the Fire Service don dey see plenty cases wey involve wells and open water for di state. Just a few days ago, we hear how one 30-year-old man, Ashahabu Ubale, die after he enter well wey burning gas cylinder dey inside! Wetin him dey think? Na wah!
For another case, two pikin don lose their lives too—one 18-year-old Yusif Malam Gwani wey drown for Bachirawa, and one 8-year-old boy, Abdussalam Ibrahim, wey fall inside well for Kofar Yamma. Dis kind news dey always touch heart, and na im make Fire Service call on everybody to dey careful, especially when dem dey near open wells and other dangerous areas.
Abdullahi, wey be Public Relations Officer for Fire Service, talk say e dey very important make we all dey vigilant. Even as dem rescue Ladidi, dem still emphasize on matter of safety. No let your mind dey far; make e dey present whenever you dey around dangerous places.
Every time dem go just dey shout ‘safety first’, but who no go listen? E no easy o, because e fit happen to anybody at any time. Na why Fire Service dey dey talk grinding sense to people! Make everybody take precaution so we no go dey hear say another person don die for helpless situation again.
Lastly, make we thank the Fire Service for their quick response. Na dem dey get our back for this kind matter o. But truth be say, we need to take responsibility for our own safety. No be everybody dey fit rescue us, sometimes na our own brain go fit save us!
