The Ikolaje-Idiroko Council of Kingmakers don shout loud and clear say dem never vote for anybody yet. Dem come sign statement as the kingmakers, wey include Aro Oloorode Mathew, Balogun Daniel Edun, Eselu Fadeyi Kamoru, Ojusu Akinbode Anthony, and Ogboni Oosa Samson Orobiyi. Dem talk say Sunday Olayode, Jonah Olagorioye, and Adebotiwa Ade don show interest for the throne.
Kingmakers talk say na this three princes wey go do election to see who go collect the crown. E no go be jolly jolly matter, because as per tradition, if multiple princes show face, na election dem go do under the watchful eye of the Ipokia Local Government. Na the one wey get the highest vote go waka enter as the new Oba-elect.
Wetin dey shock? Dem happiness don turn to sorrow, as the election wey suppose happen on Monday, February 9, 2026, don shift comot because of security wahala. Local government don give dem caution to hold beta until dem fit secure the area well well.
