Na Dr. Mohammed Mohammed, wey be the Registrar and CEO of NABTEB, carry the gist come as dem release the results for Benin City. E talk say dem run this whole show for 2,079 centers across di country, from November 3, 2025 to December 6, 2025. Na about 61,591 candidates register, plenty sha, but wetin we go fit expect from our sharp-edged Naija youths?
According to him, our 57,444 O-Level candidates and 4,147 A-Level candidates perform well, as 34,185 boys and 27,406 girls join di exam wahala. E no come easy, but the performance dey reflect better integrity and commitment wey NABTEB carry for di public exam matter.
E also give big kudos to Federal Ministry of Education, security people, exam workers and all di staff wey put dem hand together for this success. He sabi wetin e dey talk when e talk say dem fit release results sharp-sharp in 64 days after di last paper wey happen. Na real commitment to excellence, I tell you!
As dem analyze di enrolment, dem find say for craft level, 17 Engineering Trades, 7 Construction Trades, 8 Miscellaneous Trades, 4 Business Trades, and 16 General Education subjects dey call candidates. Na wetin make me like dis education matter be say, everybody fit find wetin dey suit dem.
For master craft level still dey shine, as 13 Engineering Trades, 7 Construction Trades, 7 Miscellaneous Trades, 4 Business Trades, and 3 General Education subjects beckon on candidates. In all, dem enroll candidates for 86 trades and 19 General Education subjects, no be small diversity!
For di performance breakdown, Engineering Trades show hot 76.84% while Construction Trades dey flex with 79.32%. Miscellaneous no dey left behind with 77% wey dem achieve, and even Business Trades dey manage 52.07% with Bookkeeping carrying di crown. Na wetin I dey talk be say students make sense for wetin dem study.
When we check overall, 57.32% don hold their NBC/NTC certificates, while 56.52% don turn master craftsmen with ANBC/ANTC certificates. E shock you? But the real gist be say 54,009 candidates don get five credits and above, anywhere you check am, na 94.74%! Na serious achievement!
When compared to last year, 2024 results show say we still dey move up as 29,880 candidates (67.56%) get five credits and above. Na slight increase we dey see, as we dey pray make this trend continue.
But make we no forget di wahala dey for ground, as 259 candidates involve for malpractice matter, but na small drop from last year wey see 256 candidates. Na 0.42% we dey talk for dis year o.
