Wahala don dey for Cross River as Magistrates Association don shout say dem go strike again!
Dis one no be joke at all. Dem don jara wahala since February 2, 2026, but e be like say government no wan hear word at all. Magistrates no fit keep quiet again as dem gather for meeting on January 30 and decide say dem go resume di suspended strike on February 9 if government no act sharp-sharp!
As dem talk am, dem remind di governor say him promise dem plenty things when dem meet for November 2024. Dem don still dey wait make he deliver, but it seem like na just talk dem dey hear. Di magistrates talk say only di first demand wey be promotion don show face, while di rest still dey waka for background.
Di letter wey dem write dey clear. Dem no go take nonsense again, and dem need government to wake up from dia slumber. For Cross River, magistrates dey collect N15,000 as allowance while dia oga-dem for neighbouring states dey carry around N200,000 to N250,000. Wetin be this na? No be wetin dem deserve!
Dem talk say dem need better office cars, renovated courthouses, and make dem rectify di promotion matter wey don dey stagnate since 2015. Di magistrates suppose no dey work for shrine; dem deserve better habitat to dispense justice for di people.
Di Chief of Staff don meet dem for morning, but wetin dem go tell magistrates? E be like say dem dey look for time to reason di issues. Solomon Abuo, di Secretary of di association, don confirm say dem still dey wait di government response before dem go take final action.
Since di association don express serious dissatisfaction, dem go ensure say di law remains intact for di state. If government no act quick, di wahala wey dem dey prepare for fit affect everybody way no even sabi wetin dey go on.
Na wetin dey happen for di state now as dem don declare strike on February 9. Dem don set di date, and time no dey wait for anybody; any man wey wan enjoy justice for Cross River go need to be patient because e fit take time!
