My people, e be like say the Senate don fall our hand again for Nigeria matter! You sabi say dem suppose make e-transmission of election results mandatory, but dem reject am just like that. This one na serious wahala wey go make e be like say dem dey plan to sabi ‘rig’ our elections!
As e be now, dem wan keep am for their level. Wetin we go do, wey we go call this kind move? Na common sense dey follow dem? No be here, my guy. Senate don show say dem no dey care about wetin we want, as dem vote to keep everything under their own control. Na wetin we go call am? Nigeria peculiarity, abi na wahala?
Omo, the Senate Majority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, come dey deny say dem no reject e-transmission. Na so e no fit fit talk true for matter wey dey hot like pepper! Na so democracy go dey suffer if dem continue this way. If dem wan make progress, this chance wey dem get today, e no go come again!
Dem clear say e-transmission dey give credibility to elections. Everybody for the election matter don see how e fit change the game, but dem still wan dey play shakara by going back to manual method wey dey full with wahala and manipulation. E no make sense at all. How we go expect change for our democracy when dem no dey ready to embrace the real solution?
See, even the Supreme Court don talk say INEC no fit transmit result before polls. E mean say, at the end of the day na dem dey decide wetin happen for the election, no be the people. E no fit continue like this, make we calm down. When e come to votes, di people suppose fit carry their own destiny.
We know how e be for Nigeria; we don see behind the scenes plenty times. E don happen before where dem go collect both result and money on top votes. Even states like Osun and Imo show us how thugs go dey rewrite election results and everybody go just keep quiet like say na normal. But na die we dey die small small for this democracy!
For 2023, that election still dey pain us, as the turnout just dey drop like drip. Na wetin we go do? 27.1% turnout? Na who go vote like this? Even Ghana and America show better patterns; dem dey vote pass us!
We still dey hear say INEC don dey try some changes like voter card and smart card reader, but the politicians go always find way to outsmart dem! Na so we dey jaga-jaga for our electoral system! Wetin we go do before 2027 election, we no fit stay like this again o!
Make dem no forger say if dem fit reduce notice of elections from 360 to 180 days, dem fit also do better thing for e-transmission. We need proper election change for our future to correct dis broken system. The people must take charge!
