No be small tension for PDP as governors wey represent the party don jam Wike-backed caretaker committee! Dem don reject all dem plans wey dis committee wan use reshuffle the party and dissolve some important zonal structures. Na wah! Dem dey argue say Wike no get constitutional power to dey do all dis wahala.
The caretaker committee, wey Wike sabi support well well, don push the national convention date from March 28 to March 29 and 30, no be jolly matter be that! This announcement comot from Jungudo Mohammed, the Publicity Secretary of the committee. E come follow say dem don dissolve the Southwest, North-West, and Plateau zonal committees like say na garri dem dey soak.
But governors like Seyi Makinde from Oyo and other big boys for the party no gree say dis Wike group fit do so. Dem dey support the Tanimu Turaki (SAN)-led National Working Committee, which don dey shout say Wike and him group dey deceive themselves big time.
Last Friday, Federal High Court for Ibadan don cancel PDP National Convention wey happen for November 15, 2025, and e don tell Turaki and him paddy to stop all dis acting like dem be national officers. Before the court matter, all dem governors don gree support the Ibadan Convention wey put Turaki and others for their four-year throne.
But Wike no gree o! Him and him paddy dey chant say dem na the real party leaders. While both factions dey fight for INEC recognition like say na gold wey dem dey search, INEC don reject both group, wey don make court wahala plenty as e dey head for 2027 elections.
As court don rule, Turaki side don mobilize dem legal team go appeal am. Meanwhile, Wike-backed faction don dey prepare matter for their own convention to bring new NWC members, wey dem claim go return PDP to winning ways.
The Wike camp don promise say dem fit change party nyash if dem gree accommodate all party members for this upcoming convention. Afore dem enter closed-door meeting, Abdulrahman Mohammed wey dey act as Chairman talk say the party dey united under him watch.
Dem dey faya faya! Ememobong wey be Turaki’s spokesperson don come out say no convention go happen because Wike camp no get the power to dissolve anything. Dem dey live for Fool’s Paradise, him talk, because dem no fit carry their deception enter real life.
PDP staff don show loyalty to Turaki’s leadership wey dem don declare valid. Dem don remind say only PDP dey control their affairs, no court fit interfere, as dem follow the constitution well.
Even Governor Makinde, wey chook head during the inspection of PDP Secretariat for Ibadan, don vow say dem go guide the party from vagabonds wey wan cause wahala again. He don talk say, ‘In Yoruba land, we sabi say peace go reign when the disruptive elements don grow up, and those vagabonds wey him talk don already do dem own since 2015.’
Na this kind level of crack for PDP go decide how 2027 elections go jam as everybody dey try find their own ground. Wike, on the other hand, dey fire back with accusations, calling Makinde inconsistent. He dey remind him say even if madman don restore sanity, traces of madness go still dey remain.
