Omo, Oyo State don burst our brain again! Dem don approve say all government offices go close early as dem dey prepare for big 50th anniversary celebration, wey dey happen for February 3, 2026.
Na the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musibau Adetunji Babatunde, give us the gist as he drop am for their X handle. Dem talk say office go close by 12:00 noon, make everybody fit join the galla wey go make this golden jubilee sweet pass sugar!
And na our Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, na im make this decision, e no wan make anybody miss that gist. Dem also talk say heads of MDAs go need to make sure say everybody follow the order, but dem fit arrange small service for important places wey go still dey need attention.
As we dey prepare for this 50th anniversary, e dey important make we sabi say na February 3, 1976 Oyo State born from Western State. So dis year e be like big birthday party wey don dey gather people together for one week wey just dey pass.
The celebration theme no dey small: “Consolidating the Legacy, Navigating the Present, and Reimagining the Future.” E don start since January 26 with opening ceremony for International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, where Governor Makinde come deliver public lecture and dem cut big cake wey represent the 50 years journey!
But the shine go dey on February 3, as dat day go get gala and award night wey go happen for Government House Banquet Hall for Agodi, Ibadan. Na there we go see who go shine pass for dis golden jubilee.
So my people, make sure say you no miss this celebration matter. Oyo State dey ready to shine and show una wetin dem don achieve in these 50 years!
