As dem dey start this programme, the founder, Ambassador Queen Uju-Obiaeli, no waste time at all. She don yarn say this initiative na one of their core plans for this year, and e dey align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. She talk say, “Today, we dey here for Kano to flag off our annual women empowerment programme. We wan empower about one million women and youths across Nigeria, starting from Kano State on January 1, 2026.” No be small thing o!
Ambassador Uju-Obiaeli come explain why dem choose Kano for this take-off, as e get strategic importance for the North. She talk say dem don train about 500 women ahead of this official launch, so dem no go just dey talk without action.

Uju-Obiaeli no stop there, she come drop another bombshell say dem go still empower at least 3,000 women and youths for Kano in batches. The one wey dey sweet me pass na as she drop plans to spread this programme go other states too, especially for digital literacy training wey go boost computer skills and employability of those wey dey fresh for job market. Na wetin dem need no be small! She no forget to talk say the government dey support this initiative with full chest. “The governor of Kano State don give us 100 per cent support. Representatives of the governor and the Presidency dey here today. We dey also get support from big companies and international organisations,” she talk with serious face.
Then wey dey talk, Ambassador Hussein Coomassie, wey be Head of Mission for International Peace Commission Nigeria, come add him voice too. E talk say them dey collaborate with Queen Juliet Foundation to empower one million women and youths during President Tinubu’s tenure, all in line with that Renewed Hope Agenda. He come explain say dem use Kano as the starting point because of e strategic position wey e get for the North. “From here, we go spread this programme go other northern states like Katsina, while we dey continue for the South,” he dey yarn like person wey get plan.
This Ambassador Coomassie sef no slack, e come talk say poverty alleviation no be one day matter, so e dey call for more support from government, individuals and organisations make e no be only talk. “Poverty no go just disappear overnight.
