My people, you no go believe wetin dey happen for Benue State as Samuel Ortom, di former governor, don yarn di gist say PDP ready to form strategic partnership with other political parties for 2027 elections.
For Makurdi wey e host over 1,300 appointments from im time as governor, Ortom don show say politics na all about inclusiveness, no be just one party matter. E talk say dem wan unite people to face common wahala wey dey come.
As e dey yarn, e no dey ready to come dey fight over who go lead di state again. Ortom wey don win for two party platforms, APC in 2015 and PDP in 2019, talk say dis partnership go fit work for Benue. E even add say, “Strategic partnership na to look unto God to decide who go lead.”
But no be say Ortom dey run for any election for 2027, as e don clear say him dey focus on wetin e followers go fit achieve. “I urge you to be strong, no worry about wetin dey happen for APC, na God get am,” e talk. E don promise say PDP no go die, but go dey shine like light.
Na only one thing wey Ortom dey fear be say nobody suppose rig election for 2027. E don talk say make we respect di law, and stop all di social media wahala wey dey cause confusion. “George Akume na di leader of Benue politics, and I don enter give-and-take arrangement,” e talk add.
Ortom self dey reflect on di wahala wey happen for 2023 elections wey scatter everything, as e don talk say im make mistake to put Titus Uba as di PDP candidate without consulting God first. Di guy dey complain say di party abandon am for e time of ill-health.
“Na dis kind matta I go discuss next time. I go consult God before I put person for any position,” Ortom don vow. E also talk say di involvement of traditional rulers for partisan politics no good at all, as dat one fit land dem for court wahala.
So my people, as we dey look forward to di 2027 elections, make we dey ready to see wetin go happen. E fit sweet if all dis partnership come work well, or e fit turn to wahala. Make we dey watch di space well as di political drama dey unfold.
