According to am, market women and traders for the area dey face serious pressure to join ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC). E talk say dem dey use intimidation and economic wahala take force dem register. Na wah!
Dis whole thing na after Owokoniran don assume him position as Zonal Chairman for the party. During him inauguration wey happen for Ibadan, he no hold back. E talk say if dem no join APC, dem fit collect market raid, dem fit close dem shops, and disrupt dem business. Chai, no be small pressure o!
As he dey talk, he shed light on how dem dey turn distribution of palliatives to political weapon. Owokoniran claim say instead of helping the poor, dem dey use am to control dem. E even talk say dem dey manipulate hunger and hardship just to get loyalty. Na so politics don turn to, as e no suppose be so!
“We go resist this kind manipulations with grassroots mobilization, we go dey talk issues wey concern the people,” Owokoniran yan. E no forget to commend South-West people, say dem get talent and resilience, but e still dey vex say inflation, unemployment, and food wahala dey make life hard for dem.
