For launch wey happen on Thursday, Blue Sapphire Hub Programme Coordinator, Sani Sulaiman, yan say dis initiative na to bring citizens closer to government. E talk say, ‘E go show wetin government dey use our money do, which projects dey ongoing, and which one don finish.’ Omo, na serious transparency matter we dey talk here oh!
The platform dey provide two main areas: one public portal wey citizens fit enter dey see projects, budgets, and reports, and another dashboard for government officials and contractors to upload information and respond to feedback. Baba pledge say di ministry go support di project well-well, by making sure dem dey train staffs and if necessary, give financial assistance. He mention say, ‘Blue Sapphire and di Ministry of Local Government dey on di same page to ensure governance go digital.’ Dem dey pilot dis programme for five local government areas now, with hopes spread am to other LGAs and states wey dey face similar wahala for governance.
