Kebbi Governor Appoint New Provost for Midwifery College!

Na wah! Kebbi State don shine light as Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, don approve Muhammad Musa as the first Provost of Kauran Gwandu College of Midwifery Science for Ambursa. Dis move na for better healthcare training and to boost maternal health services wey no too dey well for the state.

As per the letter wey Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Suwaiba Salihu, send out, dem say dem appoint am based on merit. Salihu no forget to congratulate Musa too and remind am say e get wetin to show as he don take this important position.

Na wetin she talk: “I go fit inform you say His Excellency, Dr. Nasir Idris, don approve your appointment as the Provost.” She still talk say Musa need to show dedication and seriousness for this new role. Na the success of the institution dey depend on the kind leadership wey them go provide from the beginning. You know say e no easy to carry pikin for belly, so make all this midwives sabi wetin dem dey do!

This Midwifery College na part of wetin Idris administration dey push to improve healthcare education for the state. As wey dey stand, Kebbi don dey face serious challenges for maternal and child healthcare, with plenty trained midwives no dey. E good make dem try to change this story!

As dem don check the wahala for maternal mortality wey dey too high for Nigeria, especially for northern states, Kebbi State government don dey work hard to build health infrastructure and train more health workers since 2023. Dem don even start new training schools and dey recruit medical personnel to tackle the problem.

The new college go make dem train skilled midwives wey go fit handle maternal healthcare better, reach out to women wey need help, and align with national targets wey cover maternal and child health. Na wetin we dey talk about Sustainable Development Goals too!
