Recently, Police Special Fraud Unit don drop some serious gists wey go help people wey wan apply for visa. DSP Ovie Ewhubare dey warn everyone say make dem shine their eye well well, because scammers dey target visa applicants like say dem dey play football!
According to Ewhubare, these fraudsters dey dress like embassy officials wey wan help you secure your visa. Dem go send you fake messages wey go make you think say na genuine oldie, but na scam! Dem dey ask for payment faster than you fit say ‘Omo Naija!’
Just recently, for Lagos State, Police don catch some yeye people wey don chop N500 million from over 100 victims. Dem dey run fake educational consultancy, wey be like say na just visa wahala, but dem don turn am to money-making machine!
Make I sha tell you, Ewhubare talk say visa application no be small matter. E no dey process am through personal bank accounts or gift cards. If dem tell you, just know say dem dey scam you! Genuine visas dey go through recognised embassies and approved agents, no shortcuts!
If you dey receive unsolicited messages wey dey pressure you to click this link or send money, just block checkbox and run! As the saying go, ‘No wahala dey last, but na your pocket go suffer if you no careful.’
