The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) don come clear the air, say that video wey everybody dey share na old video, and e no even get any link with Abuja-bound flight. Michael Achimugu, wey be Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection for NCAA, talk say dem don check am well, and that wahala no happen when dem say e happen.
Dem don show us the video as flight attendants dey argue with some Black passengers – wey many people dey suspect say na Nigerians. The passengers dey complain say dem no get water, while one white lady wey be flight attendant dey shout say, ‘Shut up!’ Na so wahala start, as passengers dey fire back with their own ‘Shut up!’ as well.
And for aviation industry, this kind behavior no suppose dey happen at all. One woman for the plane even talk say, ‘This no be normal; why una no fit just give us water?’ Na serious matter o!
Achimugu still dey investigate wetin really happen, where and when e happen, but e don talk say dem suspect say the flight fit don divert to Lomé, wey be somewhere for the neighbouring country. Na for there wey all this wahala fit don happen, but e still dey gather more tinz to confirm am.
Dem even contact Air France for Lagos, and the airline don deny say any of their flights recently get this kind gist. Achimugu talk say, ‘This video no show say dem do anything wrong. Wetin e show na just some passengers wey dey act like olodo. Even for our local flights, e no dey possible say they go refuse you water.’
As e be now, Achimugu don also notice say na just small group of passengers dey cause the disturbance, while the rest dey chill for their seats. He dey wonder how our people fit dey behave like this abroad, say e go make person dey shame say na our people dey do this kine matter.
