This matter wey happen for November 29, 2024, na wetin police call sexual assault. Daniel, age 27, wey dey live for King Avenue, Clapham, go trap one woman wey dey 21 years for toilet like say na rat him dey chase. As the woman open door, him force her back inside the toilet and start to dey do him dirty thing.
Na so she take scream for help, but the guy no gree hear word. Him just dey grab her wrist, dey do as e like until she talk say she be 14 years so that he go let am go. Na wetin make am release her, so she waka come report am to British Transport Police.
But my people, the matter no stop there oh! Just few minutes after he finish wahala with the first woman, he just sit down for front of another girl wey be 17 years old. E don start to dey ask her some strange questions like say dem dey play game for train. Before you know am, na so him expose himself, and when him go toilet, the girl quickly scatter to sit down with other passengers.
But this Odubanjo wey no sabi say him don land for serious trouble, come back, sit down for her side again and begin dey do him bad bad thing. Na so one good Samaritan wey dey nearby rush come save the girl from am. Train wey dey carry dem meet British Transport Police officers for Hatfield Peverel station, and Odubanjo no fit run come out again, dem arrest am.
Fast forward to January 12, 2026, Odubanjo carry big gbagam! for Chelmsford Crown Court. Dem gree give am six years for prison for false imprisonment and two counts of sexual assault. E no just stop for prison time, dem also give am sexual harm prevention order wey go make sure say he no fit waka under influence of anything wey fit affect him sense when e dey enter public transport.
Det Sergeant Hayley Whyte from British Transport Police talk say, ‘Odubanjo preyed on a young woman and a teenage girl in terrifying attacks just minutes apart. Both were left distressed and traumatised by the vile assaults he subjected them to. Despite this, their courage and determination to see him brought to justice has resulted in a suitably lengthy prison sentence.’ She also hail the two women wey get mind report wetin happen to them.
