According to am, many workers don dey feel the love as dem don see reduction for their Pay As You Earn (PAYE) deductions for January 2026 salary. Chai! No be so e sweet us!
Oyedele talk say na so the new tax framework dey work, as e dey ease the burden wey dey on top workers’ neck. Him talk say especially for those wey dey collect their taxes directly from salary, na dem go carry the biggest joy!
But make we break am down small, wetin be this new tax reform framework? E based on Nigerian Tax Act and Nigerian Tax Administration Act, wey the federal government don implement to make taxation for Naija no too wahala like dem dey before. Dem wan simplify am, reduce multiple taxation, and make everywhere fair for all income levels.
According to Oyedele, about 98% of Nigerian workers go fit enjoy beta PAYE tax or even no tax at all under this new system. And small businesses? My guys, almost 97% of them go escape corporate income tax and all those wahala like VAT wey dey make every side dey cost!
