Di Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and di faction loyal to Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, don show face more than pepper soup wey dem chop yesterday. Dem dey yarn say any attempt from Abure to challenge di court ruling na just waste of time. Abure suppose sabi say dis one go only bring wahala for di party as 2027 election dey come closer.
Lawson Osagie wey be veteran trade union member and part of di Labour Party Board of Trustees don talk say Abure dey try play political game wey no go work for am. E don come out talk say e no get case wey go fit stand for appeal, as di Supreme Court don already drop di gavel for dis matter last year.
Osagie even dey laugh di matter, e talk say di law of karma go soon catch Abure if e no watch am. E dey claim say Abure dey waste him time if him tink say any appeal fit give am any chance to return as chairman again. “Going to any Court of Appeal na just to gather sponsors and waste time,” Osagie yan.
Senator Nenadi Usman, di factional National Chairman, don also talk say if Abure go appeal, na so dem go see true character wey dey vex behind di scene. She don urge am say make e save dem time, and no spoil di party more with this appeal wahala. Di internal politics no fit allow dem sit down gidigba and plan for di future of di party.
Otti dey follow dem gist too; e don call di recent judgement wey favor di Nenadi Usman-led faction, as “heartwarming and timely”. E dey hopeful say dis go lead to peace and order inside di party, wey don dey scatter like pepper soup wey don enter plenty water.
