According to report wey come from Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), di fire wey start for around 7:25pm na from warehouse and chemical blending site wey dey inside big industrial area.
As di fire dey burn, e begin spread like wildfire, covering about 15,000 square metres. Dem say e dey involve many volatile chemical materials wey dey stored there.
Di intensity of di wahala don make dem explode several times, creating panic for di area. LASEMA talk say di explosion fit affect nearby people and other facilities as well – everywhere don dey scatter! But no worry, emergency responders don come together to contain di fire. Dem call for help from Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Federal Fire Service, and some private fire teams from Veepee.
Dem dey do wetin dem fit to put fire down, and dem don start damping-down operations to make sure say di fire no go start again. E no easy, but di emergency guys dey maintain their position to protect people wey dey around.
For di operation, LASEMA talk say dem fight di fire from both front and back side of di warehouse. Firefighters from Lagos Fire Service dey handle di main entrance, while LASEMA dey support dem from di back. E no be small teamwork o!
