He don talk am for reunion wey happen on Saturday night for Abuja, as dem gather for 42nd Regular Course of Nigerian Defence Academy.
He first drop the bomb say our borders dey too porous, and e don contribute to the security challenges wey we dey face. As many Nigerians dey complain say things no dey sweet for ground, the outside folks dey see us as where dem fit come chop free. “One of our sins na say Nigeria dey prosperous. Prosperity dey attract all kind things, and our borders dey open well well. We dey pay price for this prosperity, my people,” e yarn.
Admiral Ibrahim talk say even if we dey wallow for our daily problems, no be so outsiders see am. Dem dey look our country as land of plenty to harvest. “If you dey live for Nigeria, e fit hard to believe say we dey prosperous, but outsiders dey eye our resources like say dem wan harvest where dem no sow,” he talk.
E no stop for there, as e remind us say those wey don predict say Nigeria go scatter don dey work hard to see am come true. “Some people don believe say we go disintegrate since 10 years ago. Dem still dey carry war for their mind. No be joke o!”
He dey advise all the military officers wey gather say make dem stay tight together. “No be one person fit handle this national security matter alone. If we no join hands, na we go face am,” e conclude.
In the matter of his own military career, Admiral Ibrahim talk say e dey happy say e play big role for some security reforms, including the establishment of new military divisions for North-West and North-East. “As Chief of Defence Staff, I dey proud say I dey among those wey create di divisions because we sabi say with joint task force, the wahala we dey face no go fit resolve,” he talk.
Maj.-Gen. Folusho Oyinlola, wey be the president of di 42nd Regular Course, also share him thoughts for di reunion. E talk say dis gathering na time of reflection and celebration for dem and he remind dem say dem need to reconnect as old schoolmates wey don face plenty together.
Oyinlola come pay tribute to those wey don fall for duty, say their sacrifice no go ever be forgotten. E con urge all course members to continue to support each other, no matter di ranks or appointments.
