Dem don call am shameful, say na wetin dey cause division and instability.
Dr. Dokiboeriya Kaladokubo wey be the CAN chairman for Rivers, no hide him mouth as e dey drop correct gist for journalists inside Port Harcourt. E talk say the matter don pass mere disagreements, and e dey show say governance and peace dey suffer well-well for the oil-rich state.
As e dey yarn, Kaladokubo make am clear say, “Dispute be part of democracy, but if we wan progress, make dem set aside all dis quarrels and seek peace.” E no get joy for how elder statesmen wey suppose guide dem youths don turn to dem secret enemies, dey fuel division instead of working for peace. Na wetin dem dey call custodians of spiritual and moral conscience?”
Kaladokubo dey vex because e don see how governance dey shake, innocent pipo dey suffer, and the wellbeing of Rivers State dey in danger. Na so dem dey take wahala like say everything dey alright. Dem no go sit down fold hand while dem dey push the state into chaos, e insist.
“Rivers State no fit just dey watch as politics dey turn to battleground. The Christian community dey call on everybody wey get political power to put down their arms. Dis political war no go lead us anywhere, na suffer and tears una dey bring for people wey no fit afford basic things,” e add.
To show dem true commitment to peace, CAN don declare one-day fasting and prayer program for February 5, wey go happen for Christian Ecumenical Centre, Abonnema Wharf Road. Dem don dey call on all church leaders, blocs and stakeholders to come together mobilize dem members for this peaceful gathering.
