Because e go clash with the Ramadan fasting period! Na serious matter o!
Bolaji Abdullahi, wey be the National Publicity Secretary for ADC, don drop letter wey dey explain wetin dem wan make INEC do. For this letter, dem don jarre say dey want more inclusivity no be small! Dem talk say plenty Muslim voters go dey fast during that period, and wetin we go do about their right to vote?
As e be, the letter wey dem sign on January 22, 2026, talk say if election happen during Ramadan, e fit affect how many people go fit participate. Na wetin make dem dey push INEC make dem carry the election waka go after the fasting. Dem dey reason am like say, ‘Make we respect culture and religion, na wetin make our democracy strong’!
