This matter come during him tour for Port Harcourt, where dem dey check major oil and gas facilities like Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals.
Mohammed talk say with all the big investments wey people like Dangote dey put for fertiliser plants, Nigeria no suppose dey import anything wey concern urea again. Na to dey produce our own wey go take care of ourselves and still fit export go outside. E no make sense at all to dey rely on import when we get land and resources!
Him talk say midstream sector get plenty potential, but na big money wey go need to make am burst. Dem dey look around $30 billion to $50 billion to turn Nigeria to the real hub for oil and gas derivatives. E no be small thing o!
But, the man dey optimistic. Him say alongside the expansion wey dem dey do for Indorama and Dangote, dem sure say we go make am happen. No more importing for us!
Him yarn say, the essence of the visit na to see wetin dey happen on ground and check wetin dey work well and wetin no dey work. For him mouth, Rivers State na the heartbeat of oil and gas for the country!
The CEO of Indorama, Mr. Munish Jindal, also don talk say that dem appreciate the move, wey dey show how serious NMDPRA don take dem work. Him say these regulatory visits go help the authority understand wetin dey happen for the industry because e get as e be!
