As dem talk am, the Special Adviser on Media to the NRS Chairman, Dare Adekanmbi, na hin drop correct bombshell say VAT don dey on top bank charges since any-how, e no be anything new. People dey reason say since new Nigeria Tax Act don show face, na wahala don land for their pocket. But NRS chop dem yarn tell the people loud and clear, say VAT dey for bank fees since time. E no be fresh news!
NRS talk say make dem no mind wetin some media dey run around; VAT no dey apply for money wey customer dey transfer or withdraw. E dey only apply for the service fees wey bank dey charge. So, if your bank dey collect charge for transfer, like ₦10, na just small VAT of ₦0.75 go follow am, no be the entire money wey you dey send. E be like say play don start full ground with this new noise dem dey make!
Dem still talk say plenty service charges dey under VAT umbrella. Money wey dem dey charge for USSD, transfer, card issuance, and maintenance fees, na dem go join the VAT club for bank.
