Chai! Broken building matter don scatter ground for Akure, Ondo State. This one sweet no be small, but the matter no dey funny at all. E be like say disaster na the new trend wey dey show face for our construction sites.

Dem say as dem dey work on top one storey building along Oyemekun Road, suddenly, the building just yan ‘bim’ and collapse without warning. Na seven people don collect injuries for the matter, and most of them na construction workers wey dey hustle for site. Chai! E no easy to ever find work for this country again, no be to come collect injury.

Witnesses wey dey around talk say the building come down around 3:30pm. Videos wey don circulate show as people dey rush to help those wey don trapped for the rubble before the emergency team come arrive. Na serious wahala no be lie, because our own people sabi help their own.

The state fire service sef don confirm say dem receive call and quickly dispatch fire officers to go assist. As dem reach, na to carry the injured people go hospital before dem go fit take any breath.

The man wey dey in charge of physical planning for the state, Sunday Olajide, don waka go site, come talk say government go launch full investigation to find out wetin really cause the collapse. E no go fear ask developers to make dem stop to use substandard materials as if na di new law for building. Na serious matter wey e dey yarn here o!

Olajide even come carry mouth to talk say dem suppose get all the correct permits before dem start any building project. No be only to carry block dey build, you self need to carry your sense and follow regulation. Na safety matter, my people!

Right now, government don seal the site, so no more work until dem finish investigation. Dem go find out wetin happen and take action based on wetin dem discover. We just dey hope say next time, people go learn to do the right thing so we no go see this kind wahala again.
