Abeg, listen up! Cross River State don dey ready to tackle wahala wey Measles and Rubella dey cause! Dem don announce say dem go start big vaccination campaign from February 4 to February 15, 2026.

No be only Measles and Rubella, dem go join Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine too, especially for our young girls wey dey nine years! This one na how dem wan dey protect dem against wahala wey fit come from cervical cancer. Na better tin! Na Director-General of CRSPHCDA, Dr (Mrs) Vivien Mesembe-Otu, talk am.

She come talk say the Measles-Rubella vaccine go dey available for pikin wey dey between nine months and 14 years old. E mean say all the small pikin wey dem never vaccinate go fit get their shot. Plus, dem go still provide regular immunization for children aged 0-23 months during this campaign.

Dr Mesembe-Otu no dey joke when she talk the seriousness of Measles and Rubella – dem fit cause severe fever, blindness, miscarriage for pregnant women, and even death if dem no vaccinate. She stress say vaccination na the number one way to protect our children from this kind disease.

Dem go run this campaign for all the 18 local government areas wey dey Cross River. You fit find vaccinations for health centres, schools, churches, markets, and even motor parks! Make una no fear, all vaccines wey dem go give are free, safe, and well-funded by government. Na trained health workers go dey run the show, so make sure say you carry all the eligible children come.
