Na on top January 8, dem begin di whole process, e don be serious matter!
For one church service wey dem hold to remember di Armed Forces on January 11, Govnor Fubara don talk say make everybody calm down. Nobody wan hear any wahala again, abi? Im tok say dis political gbege no go last, and e dey ride on im faith in God. Wetin e quote? “Dogs dey bark wen dem no understand!” Na true talk o!
Fubara come dey reason say, na him faith na im dey guide am, and how we go fit maintain peace for di state as we dey push through dis political darkness. Im talk say, “Wetin dey important na peace for dis dear state, and we go get am by di special name of God.” Haaa, my guys! You fit see say di man dey jive, but we no fit ignore di matter wey dey ground.
On im side, Prof. Ngozi Odu dey urge di pipo make dem dey conduct demself well, im call for everybody to uphold di government in prayer because na di support be di strong hold for any administration. Di House of Assembly no dey play o, because im dey continue di impeachment processes amid di crisis wey don dey brew between Fubara and di FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Wike don already drop hints during im ‘Thank-You’ tours say Fubara don dey ungrateful, no be small talk! E accuse di governor say e no follow through with di agreements wey dem reach after di lifting of state emergency. For one spot, Wike yarn say, “Wen a man make a mistake and come back to say, ‘I dey sorry, I make mistake,’ dat mistake fit dey corrected.” E dey try tell us say no be through noise we fit solve dis wahala.
Wike dey form wetin e dey call rainbow coalition for di upcoming 2027 elections, wey suppose make all political parties don align to win together. E even tok say for di past local government elections, him loyalists in APC carry di day, winning 20 out of 23 LGAs. Na big statement! He dey show say, “If you no belong to dis family, forget am.” E clear, say after di president, na dis coalition go determine wetin go happen for di state.
But hear dis! Some members for di Rivers State House of Assembly don come out to withdraw dem support for di impeachment process, citing pleas from respected elders wey tell dem say make dem no dey hurriedly dey pursue dis waka. Minority Leader Sylvanus Nwankwo and Peter Abbey na di two legislators wey tok say make dem halting di fire wey dey burn.
Dey don call on dem colleagues to seek better way to resolve di gbege without making anybody waka out of di governor’s seat. Abi dis na good move? Dem dey reason say since Fubara and im deputy don already acknowledge dem faults, we fit just maintain peace and stability instead of carry dis waka go far! Wetin you go fit talk?
