Na Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for Environment, wey yarn this story via hin X.com (formerly Twitter). E talk say the operation begin around 9:30 am, and na part of dem strategy to clear Lagos roads from those criminals wey dey make life difficult for motor drivers.
Wahab talk say these hoodlums don turn di robbery of stranded drivers into their daily hustle, as dem dey use violence take collect valuables from drivers wey vehicle don spoil. Na wetin dem dey do, and dat one no sweet at all!
“Today, at about 9:30 am, di Lagos State Environmental Taskforce continue di operation against hoodlums wey don turn Lagos roads into their playground. Dem dey use violence to collect money from drivers wey dey suffer,” Wahab yarn.
Dem don catch six suspects wey go face prosecution sharp-sharp. Wahab assure say dem go make sure say justice no go waste time, as all di suspects go dey arraigned as e suppose be.
This one come as everywhere dey hot for Lagos, because di way these street urchins dey exploit motorists don turn serious wahala. Na wetin dem dey call “kobo stealing,” as dem dey use small chances to make big money from people wey dey face problem.
