My people, you don hear wetin Richard Ball dey talk? E get confidence for im Lye Town boys say dem go fit enter play-off for Midland Premier.
As e stand now, dem dey ninth for table, but no be say dem go give up. Dem dey seven points behind play-off places. Na so the game be, sometimes you go gatz hustle small before you fit shine.
Last December, dem carry win come back home after dem beat dem opponent for Boxing Day, but since that time, na postponements dey rule ground, no game wey dem don play again.
Tomorrow, dem go face second-placed Hanley Town, and na dem wey beat Lye Town 1-0 back in September. But Richard no get fear, he dey believe say im team fit cause wahala for dem. He talk say: “E be like say we dey together well, camaraderie dey full ground, and everybody dey ready to put in work.”
He continue say: “We no dey where we go like be, but half season dey still dey, and we no go slack. We go keep pushing, dey try to carry our A-game come out.”
Richard gree say everybody gatz play everybody, and anything fit happen—bottom team fit beat top team any day. Wetin matter na make Lye Town focus on their game and dey gather wins.
He add: “This game dey tough, we get big matches wey dey come, starting with Hanley. Na only AFC Wolverhampton City wey show wetin dem fit do for our pitch. Dem be serious, organized team.”
But Richard still believe say the boys dey ready to give their best. “Na just training dem dey do, no Christmas break at all. Dem dey come dey train for pitch instead of chilling with family. That na the spirit!”
Meanwhile, other teams dey prepare as well. AFC Wolverhampton City don dey head towards Northwich Victoria wey dey lead league, and wahala be like say go dey everywhere. Stone Old Alleynians dey host Coton Green, and Dudley Town dey go Studley. Tividale no wan miss am too as dem dey travel go Winsford United.
For Midland One league, Gornal Athletic dey make their way to Bilston Town, while Cradley Town dey welcome Smethwick Rangers. Birmingham OJM dey ginger as dem dey head come Leicester St Andrews, and Wednesfield dey get set to receive Lutterworth Athletic.
