No be lie, my people! Lagos plenti eggs dey waka all over the place, no beef at all. Na Mr. Mojeed Iyiola, wey be the chairman of Poultry Association of Nigeria for Lagos, come talk say make everybody relax, say egg no dey scarce for the state.
As e talk am, for interview wey him do with News Agency of Nigeria, Iyiola say Lagos dey experience surplus of eggs wey dey sell at beta price. But e don yarn the matter clear say di people wey dey complain about scarcity, no be say egg no dey, nah their pocket dey tight. Na only wetin dem fit buy, dem dey see.
“Eggs dey available now for Lagos. No be scarcity we dey see. For places wey dem dey cry say eggs no dey, I no fit talk say na true. Dem fit dey owe suppliers, so dem no fit get fresh stock,” Na wetin Iyiola talk. E come dey blame those wey no fit see egg for market say e no be natural wahala.
Last December, Iyiola and him crew don dey display crates of eggs throughout Lagos from December 31st till New Year, and they dey sell am for cheap price. E no reach N5,000 for crate! Wetin you expect? Normal price na N4,900 to N5,200, but dem try to bring di price down. “We no wan see egg glut for market,” him talk.
Plus, e talk say anytime by Easter, if government fit help dem join again, dem go bring the price down further for both chicken and eggs. This one go help everybody, especially during celebration period. “If government fit give us intervention again, we go dey sell chicken and eggs for subsidize rate during Easter,” Iyiola dey reason.
So, my people, if you dey hear say egg no dey for Lagos, abeg make you shine your eye! Because according to Iyiola, dem dey set hunchback to make sure say egg dey flow for everybody pocket. No let anybody mislead you, Lagos dey ready with egg supply!
