Wahala no dey! Nigerian artists don show them power for the 9th All Africa Music Awards wey happen for Lagos. Na only Nigerians dey carry plenty awards, e be like say dem don turn the event to Naija show!

International superstar Burna Boy don collect the Album of the Year award for him latest work, No Sign of Weakness. Na him work wey full everywhere, and e no end for there; he also win Best African Collaboration with Shallipopi. Abi you hear dat? Shallipopi self no fall hand as him carry the crown for Song of the Year with him hit single, Laho. The boy dey blow like that!

The event wey last one whole week bring together artistes and music experts from Africa and abroad. Na joy to see say Nigeria’s music talent dey shine for the whole continent! Rema, the ginger boy himself, carry three awards go home: Artiste of the Year, Best Male Artiste for Western Africa, and Best African Artiste for RnB and Soul. Na so we sabi recognize our own!

Other Naija big names wey win include Yemi Alade wey collect Best Soundtrack for her song You Are from Iyanu, and Phyno wey dey run things for Best African Artiste in African Hip-Hop. This Naija party full ground; we dey trend, no doubt!

Emerging stars no dull too, as Qing Madi dey crown Most Promising Artiste of the Year, while Chella turn African Fans’ Favourite. Na dis kind talent go make Africa music strong, no be small!

No be only Naija shine for this award night. Senegal’s Bakhaw Dioum collect Song Writer of the Year, and DJ Moh Green from Algeria win DJ of the Year. Ghana’s Wendy Shay dey do her thing well as she emerge Best Female Artiste in West Africa. South Africa and Tanzania also no carry last with dem female and male winners. Na big night for African music!

The success of our Nigerian artists just dey show how Afrobeats dey move from Lagos go global! Burna Boy, na him dey carry the flag of Afrobeats for high everywhere wey e go. This win dey show say our music dey ready to jam for international stage!
