The whole gbege start as some youths gather for Ekpoma to protest about security wahala wey don dey increase, especially kidnapping wey no wan gree rest. But dem no fit control their angers as e turn from peaceful protest to full-blown violence. Na so hoodlums hijack the protest, block road like say dem wan play football, and even scatter market wey dey sell goats and cows. E no sweet to see, as people dey capture everything wey happen for video wey don go viral.
As the issue dey hot, Governor Monday Okpebholo come react, o. E gather im fellow government members and police heads come check area wey hoodlums don cause damage, especially the Onojie palace wey dem vandalize like say na zoo. Na to make matter matter, dem break windows, damage vehicles, and even spoil goods wey belong to the king’s wife. No be small thing o!
The governor come dey vex, e talk say dem no go allow this kind bad behaviour continue for Ekpoma. E even carry security team go meet the Onojie of Ekpoma, Zaiki Anthony Abumere II, wey add say many of the attackers dey under the influence of drugs. Na wah! No wonder dem fit do such nonsense.
Di police dey do their investigation sharp-sharp, dem don arrest over 50 young boys wey display wahala during di protest. All these boys wey dey chop life like say na joke go face di music for court as dem dey hold dem for trial. But dem still dey work to catch more people wey no gree stop their violence.
For now, the Commissioner for Education, Dr Paddy Iyamu, don talk say schools go no resume until dem fit control di situation well. E no go nice make children dey go school for area wey no get peace. Na better move, as nobody wan hear say dem don kidnap pikin for school.
My people, we gats wise up! Dis matter no be to carry mat go protest alone, we for dey support our leaders to make sure security dey everywhere for everybody. Make we maintain peace and no let wahala fit scatter our beautiful families.
