The announcement drop for X (wey we sabi dey call Twitter) on Sunday don gather plenty excitement. Dem don set date from January 11 to February 15, 2026, so if you wan shine, no waste time o. Just waka go the AMVCA website and submit your work before the deadline.
For the 12th edition, wey dey partner with MultiChoice and Canal+, dem go dey celebrate excellence for African film and TV like say na Olympic wey dey happen! The awards go fit 32 categories include 18 wey dem go decide by jury and 11 wey na audience go vote for. Add two special awards for Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer Award join the mix. No be small wahala!
This year, dem don even add new categories for Indigenous Language wey go include Best Indigenous Language – North Africa and Best Indigenous Language – Central Africa. This one go make sure say all our African languages dey shine for world stage. E sweet, no be small!
Dem say for entry to qualify, your film or TV show mus don dey show for cinema, linear television or streaming platform for between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025. So, my brothers and sisters wey dey produce content, make you no sit down dey wait o. Time no dey wait for anybody!
