Wahala don burst for Anambra as police don arrest one 26-year-old boy, Chibuike Anikpe, wey allegedly kill him 35-year-old girlfriend, Ogochukwu Mmadubugwu. This saga na for Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area, and e don make everybody dey talk.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, dem catch Chibuike on January 7, 2026, after plenty wahala don happen since the incident wey occur for December 9, 2025. E be like say anything wey no go fit pass na for that period. The boy don confess say na him stab the babe for neck with knife, and that one carry her go meet her ancestors.
As the police begin run their investigation, dem dismiss the rumor wey dey fly around say the killing get to do with money wey Chibuike owe people. Ikenga talk say those claims no make sense and na lie. Wetin burst the matter be say Chibuike dey vex say him babe fit dey cheat on am, and we all know say jealousy fit make person do something wey e no go fit explain later.
Chibuike suppose don dey feel bad because he claim say him don suffer plenty financial wahala trying to set up business for Ogochukwu. He wan make things work, but e turn out to be say na serious distress land am for this matter wey no be small. Na so the matter carry him go stab her for neck.
After the incident, this guy try pocket style, e go drop fake letter say dem don kidnap am because of money wey e dey owe, just to shift attention and prevent people from knowing wetin really happen. But police no gree make am shine eyes pass dem.
While dem dey investigate, detectives don check the mortuary where Ogochukwu body dey. Na serious shock and outrage don dey spread for the community as people dey shout say make we stop domestic violence and all this relationship wahala wey dey cause grief.
Police don urge people make dem dey find peaceful way to handle their matter instead of resorting to violence. E go better if dem fit report any early sign of wahala to the security agencies so that tragedies like this no go happen again. Chibuike go soon face court when una finish investigation.
