Dis pikin just 21-months old, and he no suppose dey hear any sad news like dis!
According to reports, di small boy show symptoms of wetin dem first think na cold, but before you know am, e don turn serious infection! Adichie don talk say na criminal negligence wey her son suffer for di hands of dem doctors wey dey manage am. Na wah! She dey accuse di anaesthesiologist say e dey careless, casual and no treat di life of di child like wetin e be – precious!
Dis gbege dey happen for Euracare Hospital wey dem carry di pikin go after two other hospitals no fit control di situation. Na dia e dey alleged say di hospital no monitor di child well after dem sedate am wit propofol. Eya! Di pikin suffered severe health issues, including cardiac arrest, before him finally pass away.
As di news spread, di Lagos State Government don yan say dem go investigate di matter thoroughly. Dem say dem go make sure say any doctor wey dey negligent go face di music. Dem no dey take medical negligence lightly! Di governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, don send HEFAMAA to go check wetin exactly happen and ensure everybody wey supposed handle di case do wetin dem suppose do according to proper protocol.
Euracare Hospital don come out sharpy to respond, saying dem go conduct their own internal investigation. Dem insist say dem provide carful care according to wetin di family request and say di case dey complex.
