Chai! Na wah oh! Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke don finally talk say make dem investigate that serious matter wey dey ground about ghost workers wey full the state payroll. E no be small thing, my people! Dem talk say dem spot about 8,452 ghost workers wey dey chop government money like say dem be real people.
As per di news wey land from Sunday PUNCH, na forensic audit firm wey dem call Sally Tibbot don raise alarm say Osun dey lose plenty cash to these phantom workers. E be like say dem don spend about N13.7 billion naira every year for ghostly salaries. Kai! Wetin concern ghosts with money wey dey flow from government purse?
Governor Adeleke, na him sabi say e no go leave any stone unturned. E don tell EFCC and ICPC make dem shine their eyes; dem fit check wetin e inherit from di former governor, Adegboyega Oyetola. E don comment say if dem wan do di review, make dem ready as dem go meet wetin no be joke.
We hear am say di woman wey dey run di audit firm, Sa’adat Bakrin-Ottun, don expose say as of January 2023, di total salary wey dey comot monthly na N4.48 billion for 37,456 staff and 17,918 pensioners. But after dem don validate di payroll, e come reduce to about N3.34 billion for just 29,004 correct staff plus di same number of pensioners.
Adeleke no wan carry the blame alone oh! E don tell dem say di audit wey dem dey talk about na di one wen dey under Oyetola. E gree say make dem investigate everything, but make dem respect di workers wey dey genuinely dey work. E no wan hear say dem go lay off anybody for any reason, wey go make dem chop from di pockets wey no full.
This matter sweet like palm-wine for our ears. Dey say di governor dey make sure say di system clean, no be say dem dey push people aside just to clear any wahala. I dey wonder how di investigation go turn out, because as e be now, Osun State don turn to like movie wey dey sweet and dey vex at di same time!
Make we dey watch as di action dey unfold, because dis gisting no go end here. Dem go need plenty patience and transparency to resolve dis matter well so we fit know who be di ghost and who be di genuine worker. Na wah for our government matter!
