My people, the wahala wey don happen for Edo State no be small. Na so the Edo State chapter of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) announce say dem go suspend medical services across the state starting from Saturday. This one na protest as e concern the rising insecurity wey dey affect health workers for the area.
Dr Eustace Oseghale, the NMA chairman for Edo, come spill the tea for statement wey e drop on Friday. E talk say doctors for the state no fit guarantee their safety again while dem dey carry out their work. E no make sense at all! As we dey talk now, fear don dey catch many medical practitioners well well because of the recent abduction wey happen.
Two doctors, wey one of dem na Dr Babatunde Abu, don carry go village, with the kidnappers dey demand N100 million ransom. See ehn, na serious matter as this one dey show how vulnerable our doctors dey for Edo. Oseghale confirm say dem no go resume work until dem see serious action to secure their members and make sure say the kidnapped doctors dey okay.
“We no go ever return to work until our colleagues dey safe and the necessary security arrangements don dey put in place,” Oseghale talk sharp sharp. E go good make we hear say the Edo State Government and the security agencies step up their game. Dem gatz find a solution wey go work and prevent this kine wahala from happening again inside medical facilities wey dey the state.
As e be now, NMA dey urge everybody, including security agencies, to take this matter seriously. E no suppose take another doctor to start blood dey flow before dem action go happen. This na serious business wey concern the life of our health workers, and we dey hope say dem go find dem well well.
My people, as we dey talk about how important healthcare dey for our community, we suppose fit protect the people wey dey provide am. The vibe wey dey come inside here na somehow, as security matter don create tension everywhere. Now, we go dey look as everything go unfold because na our collective safety dey at stake.
