Na wah o! Gist don dey hot for Rivers State as Assembly don waka enter impeachment matter for Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Dem don talk say no be Wike dey control dem, but we no go too far make we no burn anybody’s finger.
Enemi George, wey be spokesman for the Assembly, talk say dem dey act according to how Constitution manage am, no be say Wike carry bat make dem follow am. E clear say if we mix politics with law, wahala go show face. Na like that dem go dey pour oil for water and expect am to mix.
George con add say e dey burn dem if dem talk say na political connection dey drive wetin dem dey do. E go make Rivers Assembly look like secondary school where everybody sabi wetin happen but no go talk anything.
As im talk say dem no get intention to stop the impeachment, e still make am clear say once person don break law well-well, anything wey go stop the matter na just cloud. E call Governor Fubara ‘recidivist’—na person wey dey do the same crime like say e no know say e dey violate law every time.
So, as the Assembly don start this matter, dem dey serious for ground. Speaker Martin Amaewhule don read notice wey 26 lawmakers sign, dey accuse Fubara say e don do enough bad things like collecting money wey no get Assembly approval, plus demolish Assembly building as if na im own.
And as for the Deputy Governor, Professor Ngozi Odu, dem go still collect notice wey dey accuse am of following Fubara for the waka wey no get sense. Dem don give dem seven days to respond, no be joke!
Na so political matter dey twist for Rivers State, this one dey far from the many attempt wey don fall flat before, thanks to presidential intervention. People no wan make the matter be like movie wey no get end o!
Even Rivers State branch of the APC don chop mouth, dey call the impeachment move ‘untenable,’ say e fit cause more wahala. Na dem sabi how di politics dey play, but we dey watch as e be!
