My people, wetin dey happen for Abia state no be small. Orji Uzor Kalu wey be Senator for Abia North don raise eyebrow like say na him get the state. E don talk say him go withdraw him support for Governor Alex Otti and turn around, start to dey support APC for the next election.
Kalu wey don be governor before, talk say na him help Otti to enter power for 2023 but now, dem don dey throw insults like say dem dey play football. The wahala start as Otti’s press secretary, Njoku Okaoha, land Kalu with some sharp words wey vex am. Kalu no gree sit down fold hand; e reply say him go focus on APC and work for dem to win.
“I no fit criticize the government before, but wahala for here dey. Dem don fire me, so I go fire back. I no go support Labour Party again,” Kalu yarn, no shaking.
Kalu dey claim say Otti no don do anything significant for Abia, as e dey only repair roads wey Kalu don build since 1999 to 2007. “The money wey Otti collect for four months na wetin I collect for eight years. Wetin e don do? Na just road repair, nothing new, my people,” Kalu talk with confidence.
As the gist go on, Kalu complain say Otti dey neglect rural areas, while e dey do brand-new roads for farm communities. “During my time, education and healthcare na free. Na why Obasanjo call me action governor. These new guys dey just dey follow social media wahala, but governance no be for online drama,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Otti dey face pressure from APC leaders like Benjamin Kalu, wey be Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. Dem don dey exchange words about him performance and the upcoming 2027 elections. Some people even talk say APC wan drag Otti to their side, and the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, come visit am recently to show solidarity.
