The Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, drop this sweet gist for Alausa, wey be the state secretariat on Thursday. E come dey talk plenty activities wey dem go dey do for the programme.
According to Ogunlende, any person wey wan join go need to show face for physical screening from January 5 to 9, 2026. After that, dem go commence training from January 26 to 29, across five divisions: Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos Island, and Epe. No worry, every division go get im own turn!
But dat’s not all! Dem go still do one-day leadership seminar from February 3 to 5, 2026. This one na serious matter wey go help our youths sabi leadership well-well. After all dem trainings, dem go run residential boot camp to cap am all.
Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu, wey be the Permanent Secretary, stress say how important dis annual programme be. She talk say, “The Ibile Youth Academy na major initiative of the ministry, designed to teach our youths volunteerism, citizenship, and leadership.” She no forget to remind everybody say, na dis kind training go prepare the young ones to take over leadership from adult dem.
Oke-Osanyintolu talk say over the years, this programme don produce plenty young leaders wey dey shine for different areas. She even mention say the overall best participant go become State Youth Ambassador, while the top five candidates go represent the divisions as ambassadors. Na serious election be dis o!
