Dem don appoint Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Etigwe Uwa, as di chairman of dis committee, and e get sharp guys like Prof. Lawal Salihu and former Imo governor, Emeka Ihedioha, among dem. Na wetin I call serious matter sha!
Di inauguration take place for Abuja, with di National Chairman of ADC, wey be former Senate President, David Mark, presiding over di event. Dis guy no come play as he tell di committee say dem need to build framework wey go promote inclusiveness, transparency, and accountability, and still balance di party’s foundational principles. Na im be di koko o!
Since July 2025 when ADC na di platform wey opposition leaders dey use to dey fight President Bola Tinubu for di upcoming 2027 elections, dem don dey tighten dem structures well-well across di country. Under David Mark leadership, di party dey try gather dem credibility make dem shine for di eyes of Nigerians. As Mark talk, di party constitution na wetin go guide dem morally and legally, e go shape wetin dem dey stand for and also help regulate wetin dey happen inside di party.
“As our party dey expand, we need dis review to make sure say e reflect wetin dey happen now and fit tackle future wahala,” Mark talk. “Dis exercise no be to change principles but to make dem stronger. We wan ensure say everybody dey inside di arrangement, fairness dey reign, and accountability no go waka.” Na so e go dey!
Di committee go get plenty work to do, including strengthening provisions wey go allow everybody join, fair play for women, youths, and di disabled, plus ensure say all di party organs dey perform as dem suppose. Dem go also dey ensure say di ADC Constitution match with national laws and electoral rules. Dem dey expect say dem go drop interim report wey go carry proposed amendments within 30 days.
Reacting to all dis work, di chairman Uwa don pledge say e go run di matter well, make am inclusive, and ensure say di whole process dey transparent. “Constitutions suppose dey broad and embrace everybody. We go use di best practices to solve di issues wey dey affect our party politics. Dis review no mean say di current constitution dey faulty, but we wan make am beta to attract more Nigerians into di party,” he declare.
