Dem don reclaim over 100 hectares of land wey be like say na only refuse dey scatter there before. Na only God sabi how dem manage am, but Eno talk say dem don sand-fill am well well for proper development.
As e be, dat dump site dey near the Government House, so e don dey cause serious health wahala for those wey dey work there. Eno come yan say, “We fit do plenty with vision and foresight. You fit believe say dis place wey be rubbish site don turn to something wey go benefit our people?” Na true talk be dat! Dem don do proper mapping of the area, ensure say water fit flow correctly, no more wahala for flooding.
Governor talk say dem go fit create about 150 middle-class houses for the area, plus one creative village wey go make sense for young people wey dey hustle for their talents. E dey plan say the project go open up land wey no dey usable before and address erosion issues wey don dey disturb the community.
The Governor emphasize say the way dem dey reclaim this land go help Uyo residents get better housing, agriculture, and creative industry close to city center. “Dis matter na about reclaiming valuable land for our people,” he express. E follow am talk say e don visit the site to check wetin contractors dey do, make sure say everything dey go according to plan.
Eno dey very happy with the progress dem don make so far. E don mention say the place wey dey used to be dump site don transform well to support the long-term urban development policy of the government. E tell the contractors make dem deliver on time and make am quality; dis Uyo village road project go fit tackle housing deficit and create real opportunities for people wey dey find house.
“We dey try make sure say every square meter of dis reclaimed land serve our Akwa Ibom people,” na wetin Eno talk. E still gree say this project go create plenty job opportunities for youths and local workers, make dem use di opportunity well because infrastructure development fit help grow the economy well well.
As for di 2026 budget, e go reach N1.584 trillion naira, na serious investment wey dey come. E urge citizens to pay attention to wetin dey inside di budget and tap into all di opportunities wey go come from am. E dey very sure say with everybody’s effort, Akwa Ibom fit rise reach global city standard.
