For one statement wey dem drop on Tuesday, dem yan say Adefabi don break the Oyo State Executive Order 001/2023 wey dey regulate mining activities. No be small matter o! Dis order no dey joke at all, and if you violate am, you go fit collect suspension like Adefabi. Na wetin happen be say, dem accuse am say him dey give consent letters to mining companies without proper authorisation. Na so him dey allow people mine for government reserve forest, abi wetin dem call am?
As e be now, dem suspend am effective from January 5, pending wetin investigation go reveal. Dem no wan make e scatter evidence or interfere with di work wey dem dey do. Na di Director of Chieftaincy Matters, A.M. Olajire, na im sign di letter wey carry di suspension. Dem fit tell Adefabi say make e stay away from mining and no try to dey interfere with di matter. E never clear wetin go happen if dem find am guilty o, but dem don warn say dem get zero tolerance for illegal mining.
My area, wetin dis suspension mean for our community wey don dey face wahala from illegal miners? We sabi say some people dey catch big kylos for dis mining wahala, but e no good when traditional leaders dey join body dey encourage wetin no good. Na so dem go spoil our environment, and our people go dey suffer.
Dem; the Oyo state government don make am clear say dem go pursue anybody wey dey commit these illegal acts. If dis Adefabi case na sign, e go make others wan use their sense well before dem dey jump into illegal mining matter.
