Dem dey challenge wahala wey concern oil fields like Yorla South (PPL 2A32 – OML 11) for Rivers State, Akiapiri (PPL 2A48 – OML 25) and Diebu Creek East (OML 32) for Bayelsa, plus Idiok (PPL 2A41 – OML 67) wey dey for Akwa Ibom State. Na so the companies dey seek interim injunction wey go stop government from selling, assigning, or allocating those oil fields wey dem claim say na dem suppose get am after government don withdraw dem from dem hands. Dem say those four oil fields dey meant to replace Utapate Oil Field and OPL 2002, wey before come be dem own but government don carry am back.
According to Unaeze, di firms don enter agreement for replacement of Utapate wey dem don accept as consent judgment. He come dey argue say dem don follow all di necessary steps and even don put money down for di project wey involve licenses and refinery wahala.
When dem reach court Monday, Unaeze come yarn say di first and third defendants don just serve am with their memorandum of conditional appearance, counter-affidavit, and dem dey oppose di application. Na so e ask for time to respond. Dem come talk say make di defendants no talk or do anything wey go fit disturb di subject matter before dem hear di case.
