My people, e don happen o! Naija politics no dey ever come soft like amala for one spoon. As we dey talk now, wahala don jam for Kano State as Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf no gree see eye to eye.
Just yesterday, Kwankwaso call for emergency meeting wey make Speaker Jibril Falgore rush come his house. Dem lock door for four solid hours. E be like say something very serious dey happen! Before that, na so dem dey hear sey Gov Yusuf wan shift camp go APC, the ruling party. Na dat one scatter everywhere!
Kwankwaso, wey be the guy wey start the Kwankwasiyya Movement, no wan hear say him boy ghana must go like that, so e call all the important guys from NNPP to gist about the matter. E no wan make Yusuf carry all the good vibes from their movement go APC.
But hot-soup no dey sweet without some pepper! Just hours before this meeting, Speaker Falgore and some people from Rogo constituency don do endorsement for Governor Yusuf. Dem dey talk say make Kwankwaso just follow the flow, make we fit unify Kano.
But e get as e be! Chairman of NNPP for Kano, Hon. Hashim Dungurawa come give some fierce talk. Him talk say this move by Yusuf na big betrayal. Him insist sey nobody for the party should sign any paper wey go make dem follow Yusuf go APC. Na serious matter wey dey brew! E dey clear say loyalty no dey exist again among dem.
As wahala dey unfold, NNPP Deputy Chairman, Abdullahi Zubair Imam Abiya dey stress sey Kwankwaso suppose just join hands with Governor Yusuf make dem form stronger combination for APC. Na so e don escalate, and everybody dey look for which side to follow. Some lawmakers don already shake dey pitch tent with different camps!
Senator Rufai Hanga, the only NNPP senator for Kano, don vow sey e go stay with Kwankwaso, despite all the pressure wey dey come from Governor Yusuf. The man dey speak sey e no fit allow make anybody turn him political life into wahala.
This situation don make lawmakers and party members dey waka like chicken wey dem chop gizzard. Some dey fear sey their loyalty gree bring gbege for dem when elections come, especially as 2027 dey near!
Now, parts of Kano politics dey intensely divided like sharp knife! As dem dey prepare for the 2027 elections, Kwankwaso dey quietly make plans to link up with Atiku and Peter Obi for ADC. Dem say if dem fit join together, na serious reshuffling go happen for opposition politics. However, APC dey smile dey watch everything as their power dey increase.
