The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) don throway serious warning to the police say dem no go gree make anyone enforce tinted glass permit from January 2, 2026. Dem don even talk say dem go carry matter go court if Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun and CSP Benjamin Hundeyin no obey court order.

This wahala start after Hundeyin release statement wey say dem go resume enforcement of tinted glass policy wey dem suspend earlier. NBA president, Afam Osigwe, gree talk say the police dey behave like dem no sabi wetin be rule of law. Omo! E no go better for person wey no dey respect law.

Osigwe don remind everyone say the first enforcement wey dem try earlier for June cause serious wahala, as young people dey suffer from harassment and extortion because of the police.

Dis matter wey dey ground be like film o! The NBA don dey follow this case since, because dem see how the police no gree respect court rules. You don hear say dem even dismiss allegations say dem dey use this tinted policy to generate revenue? Na wah! Benjamin Hundeyin don stand up talk say at no point any court order stop dem.

We all sabi say dis Nigeria police, dem gree dey carry wahala for street like say dem be lord of the road. A lot of Nigerians don complain say dem wan use dis tinted glass wahala to collect bribes. Wetin dem dey talk go make sense? Na just to cover the fact say dem no fit do dem job to catch real criminal! Na sure say e no be everyday naija person dey use tinted glass for criminal activities. Wetin una think say dey happen? So, wetin we go do? We need to keep our eyes open and not make these guys turn us to ATM with all dis nonsense permit.

NBA dey try to give free legal representation to anyone wey police go harass over tinted glass permits. E go good small, but how many Nigerians fit stand fight dis kind battle when dem fit just pay bribe to avoid wahala for road? Na so dem wan collect money make everybody feel like dem dey do us favour.

Make I tell you, if the court no gree gree to hear this case quickly, this tinted glass wahala fit turn serious. Dem no suppose forget say dem gree sign in court say dem no go enforce anything until dem clear the air.
