This time, e get General Mamady Doumbouya, wey don carry power since di last coup four years ago, as di main man wey everybody sabi. E no be small thing o, because di oppositions wey suppose run no fit stand for di election at all na! E be like say dis election na just to show say dem dey follow democracy but wahala dey for ground.

Doumbouya, dis sharp-man wey don wear military uniform since, carry im wife go vote for central Conakry, di capital. E dey show im support for people but no say any word at all. Under di atmosphere of heavy security, everybody just dey wonder wetin go happen next. Dem say dem don catch some armed group just prior to di election wey suppose threaten di peace. E be like say security no wan make anything spoil.

As e stand, Doumbouya don comot promise wey im make to allow civilian rule return by 2024, because now na him be di main candidate. Di people wey get eye for politics don ask wetin go happen next, since wetin dey happen for Guinea e no too sweet. UN people talk say dis election dey full of intimidation and restriction, wey no gree make anybody see wetin suppose be free and fair election.

Nobody fit forget di hype wey be di election of Alpha Conde for 2010, wetin give di people hope say democracy dey come. But since Doumbouya take charge, e be like say all di democracy wey we don build don dey shattered. Di oppositions don even talk say di election na just theatre play wey no get meaning and people dey stay clear of di polling units.

Also, wey dey comot from dis election, na one side story for dis drama. As Doumbouya dey fancy him chances of winning dis election, e dey brush aside di condition wey dey on ground. Omo, dem say he don do campaign but nobody really see him face for di rally, people dey fear say if dem talk, wetin go happen?

Dem say about 6.7 million people register to vote, but e be like dem no too believe say dis election go really count because di political space don dey tight like gourd wey dey under fire. Opposition leaders dey exile, some dey prison, and di ones wey fit decamp no dey make sense. Na wah!
